How we make money.
Summerwise is free for parents and will always be free for parents. We don't sell your data, we don't run display ads on camp pages, and we don't let camps pay for a higher Camp Score. Here is exactly how the lights stay on.
1. Featured placements
Camps can pay for a labeled placement at the top of a city or category page. These spots are always tagged Featured, never blended into normal results, and never affect the Camp Score or the order of organic listings beneath them.
2. Provider tools
Verified camps can subscribe to provider tools — analytics, registration links, response templates, calendar sync. Subscribing does not change ranking or the score. It just gives the camp better visibility into their own listing.
3. Affiliate fees
On some camps we receive a small affiliate fee if a parent registers through a Summerwise link. The fee comes from the camp's booking platform, not from the family — your price is the same either way. We disclose this on any camp page where it applies.
What we don't do
- • We do not sell your email, your child's information, or your search history.
- • We do not let camps buy a higher Camp Score, a higher rank, or hidden review removal.
- • We do not run third-party display ads on individual camp pages.
- • We do not auto-publish paid reviews. Every review goes through the same verification path.
