6 weeks | Ages 18+ | Jeff Thompson Qigong, a traditional mind-body practice, offers a variety of health benefits. Studies have shown that Qigong can improve balance, reduce anxiety, and enhance immune function (Cleveland Clinic, 2020). Additionally, research indicates that Qigong may help alleviate symptoms of chronic conditions such as hypertension, contributing to overall well-being (National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, 2019). Instructor BIO - Jeff Thompson is a licensed Acupuncturist and Qigong Instructor who has been practicing Qigong for 27 years. He began his practice in 1996 as a student at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle, WA. Jeff continued his studies by completing a six-year Qigong Master Teacher certification with the Ling Gui International Healing School of Qigong in 2011. Jeff taught Qigong at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and the Clackamas Community College in Portland, OR and is currently sharing the benefits of this ancient practice by teaching classes with Spokane Parks and Recreation.
