About this camp
The Counselors In Training (CIT) program at the Herman & Kate Kaiser YMCA offers a wonderful opportunity for young teens to develop leadership skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive camp setting. Participants will learn the ropes of being a camp counselor, understanding herd management and activities programming, and what it truly takes to make summer memories for younger campers. This week-long program is a thoughtful blend of learning and hands-on participation. CITs will engage in cooperative games, team-building exercises, and have the chance to assist counselors with daily camp activities, preparing them for future leadership roles while enjoying the spirit of summer camp.
